I participated in a public-interest pilot project focused on climate resilience in Denghu Village, located by Huangpi Lake in Lujiang, Anhui Province. The local wetland community has long grappled with practical challenges such as flooding, water scarcity, and conflicts over land and water use. My work involved conducting on-site field research and drafting a report on the community’s current situation; assisting in the implementation of climate-resilient infrastructure; helping to organize farmer mutual-aid groups to advance a pilot program for climate-adaptive rice cultivation; and contributing to the design of a fundraising strategy for a dedicated climate resilience fund. wledge to real-world rural settings, translating theoretical concepts into actionable solutions for the community.
